How do I enable custom signing order? (Sign documents in a certain order)

The Custom signing order feature allows you to create a signing hierarchy for each signatory or party involved (signees).

  1. First, go to the homepage;
  2. Click the "Upload for Signing" or "✍️Just Me" options. Either requires only a document upload which prompts the “Edit Page”.
    Custom signing orders are available via any of the highlighted options.


  3. On the Edit Page, click the "Adding Fields for..." dropdown, then click the "Myself" option to access "Add/Edit Signees".
  4. Click "Add/Edit Signees" for "Who's Signing?" Pop Up.
  5. Add Signees, then click "Custom Signing Order”
  6. Sort signees using the drag icon next to the emails to create a signing order.
  7. Click "Save & Continue" after creating a signing order.



Access Custom Signing Order via "Send for Signatures" on the homepage.


  1. Click the "Send for Signatures" button on the homepage which prompts the below interface.
  2. Upload the needed document
  3. Add signatories, then click "Custom Signing Order”
  4. Sort signees using the drag icon next to the email to Create a signee hierarchy in desired signing order.
  5. Click the "Prepare for Signing" button, and proceed to the Edit interface.

Note: The first signee must sign first — only then can the other signee(s) proceed with their signature(s).
