The “Signature” field block

The “Signature” field block is used to capture the signature of a signee on a document (or yours). This field block can be assigned to any signee of the document, including the document owner.

When assigned to “Myself” the “Edit Signature” option appears, which allows you to create a signature with the “Type”, “Draw” or “Upload” Signature options. Or access the “Saved Signatures” at the top left corner of the pop-up to reuse previous signatures.

Click the “Save this Signature” button to add your signature to the document and also available for reuse.

When a Signature is assigned to a signee, checking the "Required field" option ensures that the signee provides their signature before the document can be completed.

The “Initials” field block

The “Initials” field block is similar to the signature field block but used for initials instead.

It serves the same purpose as an eSignature; it is 100% legally binding, just visually different.

It can also be assigned to the document owner or a signee, and the "Required field" option ensures that the signee provides their initials before the document can be completed.

The “Text Field” block

The “Date Field” block

The “Date Field” block is useful for indicating specific dates, such as contract start or end dates, project deadlines, and appointment dates.

It can also be assigned to the document owner or a signee, and the "Required field" option ensures that the date is provided before the document can be completed. Also, It offers different date formats and a "lock to the date I set" option.

Note: Enter a date before clicking the "lock to the date I set" option.

The “Checkbox Field” block

The “Checkbox Field” block is a useful tool for capturing simple binary responses such as “Yes” or “No”, or “Agree” or “Disagree”.

The checkbox field block has a “Checked by default” option. It can also be assigned to the document owner or a signee, and the "Required field" option ensures that the checkbox is checked before the document can be completed.

This field block is often used for legal or regulatory compliance, e.g. agreeing to the terms and conditions of a contract.
